Update on Current Projects
Right now I’m working on several different projects all at once so I thought I’d share a few of these ventures with you all. They’ve been keeping me busy for most of the day and I am slowly learning to better manage my time in order to effectively work on them all. So, in no particular order, I am currently working on:
UNCForum.com
This is a very simple and user-friendly student forum for students at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. While other local universities have a place for students to hold discussions (other than Facebook) such as TheWolfWeb of NCSU and ECU’s OneStop, UNC-CH, for being such a technologically advanced school, had nothing to show. This is where UNCForum comes in.
EverydayDesi.com
This is based on an idea I had earlier this summer to form a collection of articles from my South Asian friends and colleagues who had an interest in writing. EverydayDesi is an online magazine geared towards desis (South Asians) in the US. Currently I’m still looking for article contributors and am hoping to publish the first issue this upcoming month.
PikaGames.com
This old Flash game website is getting a complete revamp and will feature a full user ranking system and prize giveaways. I’m working on this with an old buddy, Rodolfo Sikora, who is coding the backend infrastructure for it. I’m really looking forward to this one, as it is a startup I thoroughly enjoy working on.
Codename: CampusAI
This one is in the concept stages right now. I can’t say much but the market for this product is simply huge, and on top of that it will be a hosted solution that will help many college campuses. If you’re a rockstar PHP programmer, do get in touch with me.
So that’s it for what I’m busy working on. What about you?
